New York home prices are rebounding

Since April 2020, home prices in the New York metropolitan area have shown a clear upward trend, matching the demand growth reflected by the population returning to 20 million.

The median home value in New York rose from about $724,000 in April 2020 to roughly $812,000 in 2025, an increase of about 11.2%.
